William Thomas Frow founded the business that bears his name in 1860, working from a small office in Mansfield, serving local landlords with an approach that was, even then, refreshingly straightforward: know the property, know the people, and do what you say you’ll do. By the standards of the day, Frow’s methods were unusually meticulous - detailed rent ledgers, regular property inspections, and a personal habit of walking every property under his care at least once a season. Word of his reliability spread through the town largely by reputation alone; the business never advertised in its first fifty years, relying instead on landlords recommending him to one another. The Frow family are no longer at the helm - ownership passed on many years ago - but the standards William set down have outlasted the name change on the door. What’s changed is the toolkit: rent ledgers have given way to LettsPay for same-day payments, repairs are reported and tracked round the clock through Fixflo, tenancy paperwork and referencing run through Goodlord, and every property is presented with professional photography and virtual tours via Giraffe360 - a world away from what William could have offered his landlords in 1860.
